Specialized in early childhood in the area of relationship and interaction. She has designed and developed the PAPMI© Maternal-Paternal-Child Psychological Support Program to help parents in their parenting tasks and promote optimal childhood development. She has exported and adapted the program in English, the version of which is called Parent-Child Psychological Support Program. She has extensive experience in the evaluation of family interaction and also of the early “mother-child” relationship, having developed coding and analysis systems such as the Early Maternal-Child Interaction Codes (CITMI and CITMI-R). She has also developed treatment programs for families with relationship problems. Dr. Cerezo has given more than seventy specialized training courses in these areas to professionals in our country and to professionals in Ireland and England, within the training programs of their respective institutions.
Prof. Cerezo carries out her professional, teaching and research activity as Professor of Psychology at the University of Valencia, where she has taught since 1986 in the Department of Basic Psychology. Prof. Cerezo’s professional career in the areas of his specialty is widely valued and recognized, being the author of more than one hundred works in national and international journals. She has been Visiting Professor at Trinity College Dublin (TCD), is an Honorary Visiting Professor at University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, and Research Scholar in Residence at Northwestern University, DeKalb, Illinois, USA.
He has participated in American, European and national projects, with different institutions and governments of autonomous communities, as well as in expert groups for consultations within and outside the country. From 2005 to 2009 he was “Senior Associate Editor” of the prestigious international journal Child Abuse and Neglect.
Training
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, University of Valencia. Extraordinary Award and National Award for Completion of Studies. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid. As a Fulbright scholar in the USA, she completed POST-DOCTORATE studies at the Child Behavior Institute of the University of Tennessee with Dr. Robert Wahler.
